About Cat’s Paw
HOW IT STARTED
As lifelong Snohomish County dwellers, the three of us have deep roots in the area, from the foothills of the Cascades to the beaches of Puget Sound. Heather and Holly are sisters and April has been a close friend for 20 years. Of our many shared interests, the love of good food and the artistry involved in creating tasty concoctions eventually became a mutual passion and interest in starting up a bakery.
All three of us have experienced the pain of trying to find food that fits each of our individual dietary needs, and have sought out spaces where we can gather, connect, and be a part of our community while bonding over pastries everyone can enjoy. After years of casual conversation and half-jokes, we finally decided we could be the ones to create that space. And so Cat’s Paw Café and Bakery was born.
HOW IT’S GOING
As of 2026, we are focusing on farmer’s markets and pop-up events to introduce ourselves to our community as purveyors of delicious goodies. While everything we serve is 100% gluten-free, we also stand by our pastries as being just plain amazing. You don’t have to be gluten-free to enjoy one of our cookies or mini cakes! We offer many vegan options as well, with more planned for the future. This is just the beginning for us!
WHAT’S COMING NEXT
Our dream is to build a relationship with our customers through local farmer’s markets and work towards opening a brick and mortar store, where we will broaden our business into a proper café and bakery. With housemade syrups, our specialty beverages will be given as much love and thought as we’ve put into our pastries. We want to curate an atmosphere that is comfy, supportive of local artists, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive - a safe space for everyone from all walks of life. Finding a place where you can gather, connect, and grow your community is such a special thing, and one day we will open our doors and hope to be just the place you’ve been looking for.
